Mongolia establishes diplomatic relations with Haiti

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Mongolia established diplomatic relations with the Republic of Haiti on January 14 in New-York, the USA. It took place in frames of Mongolia's aim to establish such ties with all member-countries of the UN. The sides have agreed to boost and strengthen the bilateral friendly relations and cooperation as a key guide and to adhere to the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations, the UN Charter, and international legal principles and standards. The official joint statement on the diplomatic relations was inked by the Permanent Representative of Mongolia to the UN and Ambassador O.Och and by the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Haiti to the UN Denis Regis. The two countries will now assist each other in frames of bilateral and international organizations, and run a fruitful cooperation. Mr Regis expressed a gratitude to Mongolia for ten thousand USD given to this country as a help in overcoming the natural disaster's consequences in 2010, and expressed a confidence in further expansion of the bilateral friendly ties.
