Mongolia-Hungary intergovernmental commission meets

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The 4th meeting of the Mongolia-Hungary intergovernmental commission for the economic cooperation was held Monday in Budapest, Hungary. The meeting was co-chaired by Ms S.Oyun, Mongolia’s Minister of Environment and Green Development, and by Mr Kristóf Szatmary, the State Secretary of Ministry of National Economy. A meeting’s protocol was signed by the countries as well. At the meeting, the parties shared information on present political and economic situation in their countries, exchanged views on expanding the cooperation in productions, environment, water management, agriculture, construction and urban development. The sides also agreed to focus on specific projects and programmes, for example, issues of concluding talks on renovating the UB-based "Biokombinat" state-owned chemical factory and erecting a new factory, of involving the disabled children in rehabilitation service within Hungarian official assistance for development, conducting joint research into environment and ecological fields, preparing specialized experts through vocational training centers, estimating water sources in Mongolia, and other matters. After the meeting, the parties established the 2013-2015 cooperation programme between Mongolia’s Ministry of Health and Hungary’s Ministry of Human Resources, and a memorandum between Mongolia’s Standardization and Metrology Agency and Hungarian Institute of Standardization. Moreover, another cooperation memorandum for 2014-2016 was created between the Ministry of Education and Science and the Hungarian Ministry of Human Resources. After this Ms Oyun held a meeting with Sandor Fazekas, the Hungarian Minister of Rural Development.
