Mongolia participates in international conference on Afghanistan
Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Ambassador of Mongolia to Poland Mr O.Dambiinyam delivered a report at the "Afghanistan-2014: prospects of development, challenges and threats to security in Central Asia" theory-practice conference held last week in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.
Organized by the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), the conference brought together leaders of international organizations, special representatives of UN, CSTO, SCO, EU, OSCE, NATO, CIS Secretary-Generals, special agents for Afghanistan and Ambassadors.
The participants received 20 reports delivered by several countries on a new condition in Afghanistan on the background of the withdrawal of NATO forces from the country and the security of Central Asia.
The Mongolian Ambassador’s report was themed "Our goals in Afghanistan after 2014: A long-time and multilateral collaboration with Afghanistan’s society, combining it with security matter".
At the conference, a majority of the participants expressed a worry about the security in Afghanistan--"it might worsen after the withdrawal of the NATO Forces", and underlined an importance of an effective collaboration with its neighbor and regional countries in the political, economic and other sectors.
