MONGOLIAN-RUSSIAN MILITARY EXERCISES EXPECTED THIS SUMMER

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Russia’s eastern military district will conduct 40 large-scale exercises this summer, the district’s spokesman Colonel Aleksandr Gordeyev, told the media on Monday, as quoted by Russian TASS. "Some of the exercises--tactical, special and flight exercises--are international, one in three will be held in unfamiliar terrain," Gordeyev said. The Russian-Mongolian exercise "Selenga-2015", due at the Tsugol test site in Trans-Baikalia, will be the most important of all, he added as quoted. Joint assault crossing and landing of a tactical force will be practiced for the first time.
