Moscow interested in comprehensive cooperation with Bangkok - Lavrov

BANGKOK, August 10. /TASS/. Moscow is interested in broad comprehensive cooperation with Bangkok, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on Thursday at talks with his Thai counterpart, Don Pramudwinai. "I am glad to meet you again," the Russian minister said. "We are interested in developing broad comprehensive cooperation with Thailand, which is our oldest partner in Southeast Asia." "I would like to once again offer my condolences over the death in October 2016 of King Bhumibol Adulyadej who was loved by his subjects and respected by the world community," Lavrov said. He reminded that the current year marks the 120th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries. "A number of big events in Thailand will be dedicated to this anniversary," he noted.
