MP: US, Zionists Aim To Destroy Infrastructures In Egypt

Tehran, Aug 19, IRNA – Member of Parliament Mohammad Saleh Jokar said the US and the Zionists aim to destroy the infrastructures in Egypt. Talking to IRNA, he said the US and Zionists are plotting to keep Egypt in a backward situation. What the Egyptian did was not to the benefit of the future of the country nor the nation, he added. He urged the Egyptian officials not to let alien forces intervene in their domestic affairs. Jokar, who is member of the Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, believed the prevailing situation in Egypt is due to absence of proper leadership, the compromising manners of some of the Egyptian officials and their neglecting demands of revolutionary forces. He also noted that the toppling of the old regime in Egypt was caused by the Islamic awakening inspired by the Islamic Revolution in Iran./end
