MPP HOLDS HISTORY DISCUSSION

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ In connection with the 121st anniversary of the birth of D.Sukhbaatar, an open discussion themed "Value of History" has begun at the State Residence Thursday. D.Sukhbaatar was a founding member of the Mongolian People’s Party (MPP) and a leader of the Mongolian partisan army that liberated Khuree (now Ulaanbaatar) during the Mongolian Revolution of 1921. Opening the discussion, a secretary-general of the party J.Monkhbat noted that the party announced this week as the time to protect true history facts in order to "curb recent attempts to distort historical facts". At the end of the weekly campaign, the party, he said, will sum up opinions of ordinary citizens and of academicians in an appeal that will be later submitted to the National Security Council.
