MPs Express Readiness To Cooperate With Iran President-elect

Tehran, June 17, IRMA – Some 225 out of total 290 members of Iranˈs Majlis (Parliament), in a statement issued Monday, expressed their readiness to fully cooperate with the president-elect Hassan Rohani. In the statement, read out to the Majlis during this morning open session, the parliamentarians felicitated the Iranian nation and the winner of the June 14 presidential election. The statement stressed that the high turnout of people in presidential election has opened a new chapter in the Islamic Republic of Iran which would help resolve the existing problems. The MPs expressed hope that the country would move towards development through peopleˈs trust and optimism. The Majlis further announced itˈs readiness to make its all-out effort to help the president-elect achieve national goals./end
