MPS MEET IRCRCM DELEGATES

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Members of the State Great Khural (parliament) N.Enkhbold, a president of the Red Cross Society of Mongolia (RCSM), also J.Batzandan, G.Bayarsaikhan, Ts.Oyunbaatar and Ts.Oyungerel received Thursday a delegation of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement (IRCRCM). Head of the IRCRCM Secretariat Mr Frank Mohrhauer presented accompanying him delegation and then talked about a collaboration between the IRCRCM and the RCSM. He also asked about a draft new wording of the law on the RCSM’s legal status. In response, N.Enkhbold MP said this new version aims to make clearer the legal regulations of the ties and cooperation between the state and the RCSM. Present at the meeting were also Martin Foller, a deputy head of the IRCRCM’s Asia-Pacific Division; Sophia Stoimenova, the IRCRCM’s Permanent Representative for East Asian Affairs; N.Bolormaa, the RCSM’s secretary-general. The RCSM joined the IRSRCM in 1959, becoming the 84th member.
