MPs meet SCO Secretary-General

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Secretary-General of Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Dmitry Mezentsev Monday met with Chair of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Security and Foreign Policy Ts.Oyunbaatar MP and others. Present at the meeting were also SCO Deputy Secretary-General Mr Djalopov, SCO advisor Mr Vorobyev, and Ts.Tsolmon and N.Enkhbold MPs. The sides shared views on multilateral activities on trade, economy and transportation between Mongolia and SCO members, observers and dialogue partners. The parties also talked about an initiative to organize joint activities within the 10th anniversary of Mongolia’s joining SCO as an observer. The Shanghai Cooperation Organisation or SCO is a Eurasian political, economic and military organization which was founded in 2001 in Shanghai by the leaders of China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan. SCO today has observer states such as Mongolia, Afghanistan, India, Iran and Pakistan, and dialogue partners such as Belarus, Sri Lanka and Turkey.
