Myanmarˈs Gov't Should Stop Massacre Of Muslims

Tehran, April 24, IRNA -- Myanmarˈs government should take immediate action to halt massacre of Muslims in the country, Foreign Ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast said on Tuesday. Speaking in his weekly press briefing, he said Iran like other countries has opposed to carnage of Muslims in Myanmar and is to take necessary measures to stop it. The world countries along with international organizations call on Myanmar government to prevent acts of violence by extremists, he said Mehmanparast said that Myanmar government should forcibly prevent conflicts between religious and ethnic groups in the country. The Islamic Republic of Iran is to take necessary measures to prevent such violence against Muslim in Myanmar, Mehmanparast said./end
