N Korea to simplify visa formalities for Russians, to make payments in RUB

VLADIVOSTOK, June 5 (Itar-Tass) - North Korea will ease visa requirements for employees of Russian companies working in the country and has agreed that mutual payments with the RF would be made in roubles. "Formalities will be simplified to receive multiple entry visas for Russian businessmen and employees of Russian companies who work in the DPRK," the Russian Minister for Development of the East, Alexander Galushka, sad on Thursday after the meeting of the intergovernmental commission on trade, economic, scientific and technical cooperation. He is chairman of the Russian part of the Russian-North Korean intergovernmental commission for cooperation. Russian businessmen in North Korea would also have access to mobile telephone communication and the Internet, Galushka added. The sides during the meeting also agreed that mutual payments between the RF and the DPRK would be made in roubles already beginning this June. "Already this month, payments between the RF and the DPRK will be made in roubles and first accounts will be opened in Russian banks," Galushka said, noting it would facilitate trade and economic cooperation between the two countries.
