N.Altanhuyag: “The people are the king” is not parrot cry

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ "The government has to listen to the public and implement their projects accordingly, this is the main goal of the government--to listen to the people and then to implement their initiatives." This was what Prime Minister N.Altanhuyag said in his remarks opening "The people are the king" forum that has been organized under an initiative by a Deputy PM D.Terbishdagva. The forum has gathered some thousand representatives of public and private institutions and non-governmental organizations to discuss discipline and responsibility matters. The Premiere referred his Government’s projects aiming to raise awareness about responsibility and accountability matters that include monthly ministerial meeting on responsibility, implementation and scrutiny. "Responsibility should be a subject not only to the Government or its officials, but also to the public–the public have to express thoughts on accountability issues," he highlighted. PM also highly spoke of his Government’s "11 11" center, where, he said, the public are given an opportunity to judge and criticize the Government. He talked about the Government Service E-Machines installed at seventeen spots in the capital city, which, he noted, have enabled a direct public access to the Government, without any bureaucracy.
