N.Enkhbold MP meets German delegation
Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A head of the Mongolian People’s Party’s (MPP) faction at parliament N.Enkhbold Tuesday received a delegation of the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SDP) and the Friedrich Ebert Foundation (FEF).
This meeting has been arranged in conjunction with a start of the Autumn Academy’s actions co-organized by the SDP and the FEF. This year’s activities are running with a theme "Creative activities of opposition force".
The delegation consists of Ms Ute Kumpf, a former member of Germany’s Bundestag and figure of the SDP; Mr Marco Brunotte, a member of the Lower Saxony State’s diet; and Ch.Oyungerel, a director of the FEF Representative in Mongolia on project affairs.
At the meeting, the sides exchanged views on importance of the autumn academy’s actions within the collaboration between the political parties, and its outcome.
Mr Enkhbold thought back about his meeting two years ago with Ms Kumpf on the election system and its legal environment, and expressed a satisfaction with an ongoing meeting between the parties on ways of running creative works by the opposition political parties.
Informing the Mongolian side about the participation of the SDP in the Bundestag election, Ms Kumpf touched upon a further collaboration between the MPP and the SDP.
The Christian Democratic Union (CDU), led by Angela Merkel, got a majority of the seats, Ms Kumpf said, adding that the SDP and other parties propose to set up a coalition cabinet.
Then, the sides shared views on urgent problems facing their parties.
Present at the meeting were also D.Tsogtbaatar, the MPP secretary-general; Ch.Jargalsaikhan, a head of the MPP section of party structure; and N.Chinbat, a head of the party’s section of external relations.
