New president and board of directors at U.S. Chamber of Commerce in Georgia

Georgia, Tbilisi, June 7 /Trend N.Kirtzkhalia/
There is a new president and board of directors at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in Georgia. The new leadership was elected on June 6 at the General Assembly of the Chamber, the organisation said.
From today it will be led by representative of UGT Sarah Williamson. Michael Kaugil from the Georgian-American University became the first vice-president and representative of GMT and Irakli Baydashvili became vice-president and treasurer of the organisation.
David Lee, who left the post after four years of presidency, was elected honorary president of the Chamber.
The Chamber also introduced three new members - Robyn McCone (PwC), Lasha Gogiberidze (BGI) and Keti Kvartskhava (BLC).
The new president said the Chamber has been working for many years to improve the business environment in Georgia with the assistance of the country's authorities, the U.S. Embassy and NGOs.
"Next two years will be very important for the approval of Georgia's image as a country where it is easier and better to do business and our organisation will make a contribution to it," Williamson stressed.
