Ninth of Dey weekly shuttered

TEHRAN,April 23(MNA) – The Iranian court for clergymen has sentenced the chief editor of The Ninth of Dey weekly, Hamid Rasaei, to 18 months in prison and has ordered that the weekly newspaper be shut down. However, the judge ruled that MP Hojjatoleslam Hamid Rasaei, who is a member of the Iranian parliament, should pay a fine of 100 million rials ($8,156) instead of serving the prison term.
