N.Tomorkhuu attends "Hour of Minister" meeting

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ This time, the Minister of Road and Transportation N.Tomorkhuu spent an hour to report on his organization's policy, goals and works planned on Thursday. Works will run to upgrade the legal regulation of transportation sector and to reform quality and safety standards of the construction, he said. The Ministry also plans to complete a construction of paved roads to all aimags’ centers within 2016, he added. The cabinet decided to perform the construction of railways of Bogd Khaan Mountain under a long-term soft loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB), "if parliament adopts this decision, the railway construction will start immediately," he said. A construction of auto road between UB and a new international airport in Khoshig Valley will begin this year and will be completed in a second quarter of 2016. The government also made decisions to perform a project on a railway between Erdenet and the Ovoot mine on a partnership contract between the state and private sector, and to run paved roads in several routes under concession contracts, he said.
