One Window Service discussed
Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The "One Window Service" (OWS), that enables citizens to access a number of public services in one spot, is also efficient in eliminating bureaucracy, city and province governors agree.
At a consultative meeting of capital city, its districts, provinces and their soums' governors in the State Residence on Wednesday, the gathered explored ways to ensure an action stability in the OWS, that aims at more accessible public services as stated in the Action Plan of the Government for Reforms.
The OWS was first brought about in Mongolia under implementation of an intergovernmental governance and decentralization program of Mongolia and Switzerland, funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation. As today, there are 38 OWSs (21 in provinces' centers, four in soums, nine in districts, and three in khoroos) that have been accessed by seven million 350 thousand people.
Attending the meeting, Ch.Saikhanbileg, a head of the Cabinet Secretariat, briefed on the Government’s actions to achieve OWSs that are more stable in the actions and closer to people.
