Pakistan Marks Martyrdom Anniversary Of Hazrat Fatima Zahra (A.S.)

Islamabad, April 15, IRNA – The Shi'ite community and Iranian diplomats on Saturday observed the martyrdom anniversary of Hazrat Fatima Zahra (SA) with religious fervor across Pakistan. On this occasion programs of Majalis and mourning processions were held in Imam Bargahs of all major cities of the country. Like Iran, 3rd Jumada al-Thani is observed as martyrdom anniversary of Hazrat Fatima Zahra (SA) in Pakistan. In connection with the martyrdom anniversary Majalis and mourning processions were held in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar, Quetta and Multan. During processions mourners beat their chests as express of profound grief over martyrdom of Hazrat Fatima Zahra (SA). Iranian diplomats along with Iranian citizens in Islamabad also observed the occasion on Saturday at a mosque in Iranian complex in diplomatic enclave. Iranian Ambassador to Pakistan Alireza Haghighian and senior Iranian diplomats participated in the program of Majalis and mourned the martyrdom of Hazrat Fatima Zahra (SA). Iranian consulates and cultural centers in all major cities of Pakistan also organized Majalis to commemorate the martyrdom of Hazrat Fatima Zahra (SA)./end
