Pakistan Seriously Concerned Over Kashmir Violence

Islamabad, July 20, IRNA - Pakistan has expressed its deep concern over the killing of more than 6 people and injury to scores of others in the Indian-administered Kashmir. “Such acts incite violence and hurt the sentiments of Muslims not only in Pakistan but all over the world,” the Foreign Ministry said. The Government of Pakistan calls for a thorough and proper investigation to be carried out expeditiously and those responsible for this act to be brought to justice, it said. Meanwhile Indian Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde ordered an inquiry into the firing incident and said any excessive use of force will be dealt with strictly. Indian media has reported that the Border Security Force (BSF) troops fired on demonstrators who had gathered outside their headquarters in the district of Gool./end
