Pakistani Chairman Of Senate To Pay 4-day Visit To Iran

Islamabad, Aug 1, IRNA – Chairman of Pakistani Senate Syed Nayyar Hussain Bukhari will pay a four-day official visit to Islamic Republic of Iran to enhance bilateral cooperation. According to officials in the Embassy of Iran in Islamabad, Nayyar Hussain Bukhari is scheduled to leave Pakistan on the 2nd of August. During the visit, he will be meeting with Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. This is Nayyar Hussain Bukhari’s first trip to Iran since assuming the post of the Chairman of Senate. The Chairman of Senate will also hold meetings with Speaker of Iranian Parliament Ali Larijani, Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi and other concerned Iranian officials to discuss bilateral ties and mutual interests. He will discuss to enhance cooperation between Iran and Pakistan, in Parliamentary, Economic and Cultural sectors. Nayyar Hussain Bukhari will also visit the city of Mashahd and Imam Reza's Holy Shrine. During the visit of Mashahd, he will be meeting with the Governor General of Khorasan e Rizvi province and will discuss ways to enhance cooperation between the provinces of Pakistan and Khorasan e Rizvi province. Pakistan and Iran have been enjoying strong brotherly ties. Last year President Asif Ali Zardari visited Iranian twice, whereas Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad visited Pakistan in February this year. Both countries are bonded in Joint Economic Commission and are planning to take the bilateral trade to 10 billion dollars./end
