People nationwide can reply to PM’s 6 questions
BANGKOK, Nov 11 (TNA) -- Starting on Monday, people throughout Thailand can answer Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-ocha’s six questions concerning politicians and general election, expected to be held in 2018.
Chatchai Phromlert, permanent secretary for Interior, has sent an urgent message to every provincial governor, ordering them to assign provincial and district offices of Damrongdhamma centre to persuade people in their area to answer the prime minister's six questions from next Monday during the office hours.
Every province must submit summary of people’s opinions and report to Mr Chatchai every 10 days while a report on the number of people answering the question must be reported to him before 5pm everyday.
One of the questions asks whether the the National Council for Peace and Order or the prime minister himself could lend support to any party competing in the election as Gen Prayut himself is not running in the election.
To date, former politicians are urging the government to allow them to do the political activities. But the government reiterated it is not the right time. (TNA)
