Perpetrators of Iranian nuclear scientists’ killings confess they were trained in Israel

TEHRAN,Aug.7(MNA) - Parts of confessions made by people arrested in connection with the assassinations of Iranian nuclear scientists and academics were broadcast on Iranian television on Monday night.
The detained people, who were all members of a terrorist team, had been involved in the assassinations of three Iranian nuclear scientists and academics, namely Massoud Ali-Mohammadi, Majid Shahriari, and Darioush Rezaiinejad.
Elementary-particle physicist Massoud Ali-Mohammadi was assassinated in a bomb attack in Tehran on January 12, 2010.
Physicist Majid Shahriari was killed in a bombing in Tehran on November 29, 2010.
And Professor Darioush Rezaiinejad was shot and killed by a gunman with an AK-47 in Tehran on July 23, 2011.
The group was also involved in an assassination attempt on Professor Fereydoun Abbasi, who is the current director of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, in Tehran on November 29, 2010.
According to the confessions, the members of the terrorist team had received training at a camp near Tel Aviv.
“We entered Turkish soil, and, from there, traveled aboard a ship to another country that we later found out was Cyprus. After Cyprus, we entered Israeli soil and were lodged at a camp in a small city near Tel Aviv,” one of the detained people confessed.
“The group was financially supported by the United States and Israel,” he said.
