PM arrives in Vietnam for APEC Summit

Da Nang, Nov 10 (VNA) -- Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha arrived Da Nang of Viethnam to attend the 25th Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit on Nov 10-11. Prime Miniter and his entourages arrived on the Royal Thai Air Force’s special flight RTAF207 at Da Nang airport at 11.45am local time for the APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting. Vietnamese Education Minister Phung Xuan Nha and other senior Vietnamese authorities received Gen Prayut’s delegation. At 1.30pm Gen Prayut was briefed on the APEC Summit and related meetings. At 3.09pm he met Vietnamese President Tran Dai Quang at Furama Resort Da Nang where Gen Prayut’s delegation stayed. The prime minister was set to attend a plenary meeting of APEC economic leaders and representatives of the APEC Business Advisory Council and an informal meeting of APEC economic leaders and ASEAN leaders. At 6pm Gen Prayut was set to have a bilateral talk with Hong Kong Chief Executive Carrie Lam. In the evening Gen Prayut and his spouse will join a reception party that the Vietnamese president and his spouse will hold for APEC economic leaders at Sheraton Da Nang Resort. (TNA)
