PM extends sincere condolences, sympathy over Yala market bombing
BANGKOK, Jan 22 (TNA) -- The spokesman for the Internal Security Operations Command (ISOC) reported that insurgents had set off a bomb in the middle of the Yala Municipal market early this morning resulting in a number of deaths and injuries and property damage.
ISOC spokesman revealed that Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha in his capacity as the director of ISOC had extended his sincere condolences and sympathy for the relatives and families of the victims who were inhumanely and unscrupulously targeted.
The spokesman stated that the Prime Minister was extremely concerned and has ordered all departments to expedite aid and assistance to the families of the victims. He also ordered authorities to hunt down the perpetrators who had targeted innocent civilians and bring them to justice as quickly as possible.
ISOC said the bombing is a direct attempt to undermine the southern peace process. ISOC is asking southern residents to remain calm and have confidence in state officials who were committed to bringing long lasting peace and stability to the southern provinces. (TNA)
