PM inspects BTS Skytrain service

BANGKOK, Aug 15 (TNA) - Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha has travelled to Klong Bang Luang historic area in Thonburi by BTS skytrain and a passenger boat on Wednesday to inspect Bangkok mass transit system. Before he started the trip, he was briefed on traffic problems and measures to tackle the city’s traffic congestion, related to the construction of electric trains on many routes at the Traffic Police Division. Then, he went to ride the BTS Skytrain at the National Stadium Station to Bang Wa station and took the 250-metre Skywalk to Taksin-Phetchakasem pier. The prime minister was briefed on the development plan of boat service in Phasi Charoen canal. Then, he took a passenger boat to the Wat Kham Phaeng temple. He visited the project to revive the Klong Bang Luang community’s way of life, the historic area in Thon Buri and Baan Silapin บ้านศิลปิน, canal-side Artist House and old shops. He will pay respect to the King Taksin monument at the Intharam temple before his return to the BTS’s National Stadium station this afternoon. (TNA)
