PM meets BNK48

BANGKOK, 25 (TNA) -- Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha makes dance moves to a popular song when he is greeted by the famed idol group BNK48 at Government House on Tuesday. The all-girl group visited the prime minister’s office in a campaign to promote government’s radio station “Happy Family Radio,” aimed at attracting young listeners. Prime Minister Prayut praised the famous singers for being inspirational for the youth. His government invited the youth to tune in to Happy Family Radio, a project of the Public Relations Department, Gen Prayut said. When the BNK48 singers performed their megahit single “Koisuru Fortune Cookie" or “Cookie Siang Thaai” in front of him, the premier danced along. The song is a Thai version of the AKB48 hit. BNK48 is the Thai sister group of Japan’s idol girl group AKB48. Gen Prayut told the group members he was impressed of their successes in pursuing their dreams as performers while being able to keep up with education. (TNA)
