PM meets ICAO chief
BANGKOK, Dec 20 (TNA) -- Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha met Fang Liu, secretary-general of the International Civil Aviation Organization, and expressed gratitude towards the UN organisation for lifting its aviation safety concern on Thailand.
The prime minister assured his government was developing Thailand into an aviation hub of the region.
Ms Fang met Gen Prayut on the occasion that she attended a conference on the Global Aviation Security Plan (GASeP) in Bangkok.
The ICAO secretary-general extended congratulations for the lifted red flag for Thailand. She praised the Thai government for doing its best to improve Thai aviation up to international standard and setting a good example for other countries. Afterwards the prime minister opened the conference.
He told the conference that the government was determined to make Thai aviation standard and develop the aviation industry so that Thailand would become a regional aviation hub. (TNA)
