PM presides over National Children's Day 2018 at Education Ministry

BANGKOK, Jan 13 (TNA) -- Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha on Saturday said children would become a major force for Thailand in future and, therefore, his government would put efforts in developing children to be equipped with knowledge along with fine morality. In an address while presiding over the annual National Children’s Day, being held at the Education Ministry headquarters and attended by its Minister Teerakiat Jareonsettasin, the prime minister said his government would do its best to enable children to have good quality of life. The government has supported every concerned sector to organise activities celebrating the National Children’s Day, said Gen Prayut, adding that children must first analyst and use rationale without believing everything they were told. This is to prevent illegal deeds, he said, adding that children must also exercise directions given by His Majesty the King Maha Vajiralongkorn. Gen Prayut later visited booths inside the compound of the ministry and presented gifts to children, accompanied by their parents, amid tight security. (TNA)
