PM sees technological innovations, unique durian products
BANGKOK, Sept 11 (TNA) -- Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha saw examples of technological innovations to be exhibited later this month and new durian products to help southern farmers before attending a cabinet meeting on Tuesday.
Digital Economy and Society Minister Pichet Durongkaveroj introduced the organizers of the Digital Thailand Big Bang 2018 fair to the prime minister.
They showed a 3D visualization innovation that can assist in city planning and traffic solutions. The prime minister also saw a software application that teaches Muay Thai and the 3D face recognition software that has been in use at Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital and will be applied for security purposes.
The Digital Thailand Big Bang 2018 fair was scheduled at the IMPACT exhibition and convention complex in Nonthaburi province on Sept 19-23.
Pasu Lohanchun, permanent secretary for industries, brought the management of Queen Frozen Fruit Co who introduced processed products made from durian sourced from southern border provinces where durian prices have fallen due to security problems.
Prime Minister Prayut praised the company for helping increase durian prices in the far South. He tried sticky rice with its durian in syrup. Besides, the company served its durian ice cream in the cabinet meeting. (TNA)
