PM to visit Nong Bua Lam Phu

BANGKOK, March 21 (TNA) – Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha will visit Nong Bua Lam Phu province tomorrow to follow up poverty reduction projects. Assistant government spokesperson Taksada Sangkhachan said the prime minister would meet local residents and inspect integrated agricultural projects aimed at relieving people’s poverty in accordance with the guidelines of King Rama IX. The projects include organic farming, solar power, participatory use of public land, and local fabric products developed with innovations. In the morning, Gen Prayut would meet local people at the Pho Si Samran organic vegetable group in Hua Na sub-district of the provincial seat. He would also hand land use cards for people who have rights to use public land in their community. He would distribute necessities to storm victims, open a learning centre of Pho Si Samran village and visit an exhibition of local organic farming and renewable energy, Col Taksada said. In the afternoon, Gen Prayut will visit a local textile club in Ban Na Khamhai village and attend a local forum on his Thai Niyom Yangyuen sustainability scheme. About 300 local residents will join the discussion. (TNA)
