PM visits Amnat Charoen, Ubon Ratchathani for cabinet retreat
AMNAT CHAROEN, July 23 (TNA) -- Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha and his cabinet ministers visited Amnat Charoen today and will have a cabinet meeting in Ubon Ratchathani tomorrow.
His delegation arrived at the Phutawan organic farm in Ban Nong Mek village of Amnat Charoen’s Muang district. There he inspected the operations of the farm and met local officials and residents.
Gen Prayut said he was glad to meet local people and officials and that he was not campaigning for votes but it was a duty of his government to study local problems and work out solutions.
“The closer the next election is, the more visits I will pay to meet local people to create understandings. After the election, the new government must be able to visit all areas… Please do not divide the society,” the prime minister said.
Gen Prayut told local officials and residents in Amnat Charoen to cooperate for the sake of national development. He also warned local residents to elect good leaders, saying national problems resulted from the past election of bad leaders.
Besides, he encouraged local people to watch his televised weekly addresses on Fridays, saying viewers would know what his government was doing for the public interest. (TNA)
