PM visits Surin, Buri Ram

BANGKOK, May 7 (TNA) – Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha and cabinet members are taking a field visit to Surin and Buri Ram provinces to follow up on work progress of the Lower Northeastern provincial cluster I as the cabinet retreat will be held in Buri Ram tomorrow. The Lower Northeastern provincial cluster I or "Nakhon-Chai-Bu-Rin" provincial cluster consists of four provinces, that is, Nakhon Ratchasima, Chaiyaphum, Buri Ram, and Surin. The Prime Minister and delegation will follow up on major development projects related to air and road transport infrastructure networks, sport tourism development, water management, promotion of organic agriculture. The prime minister started his field trip, observing border trade activities at the Chong Jom permanent border crossing in Surin, bordering Cambodia and visited Tha Sawang Village, which is renowned for its conservation of ancient-style golden silk weaving. He is travelling to Buri Ram to meet with the local people at Chang Arena Stadium, and observe preparation for the hosting of PTT Thailand Grand Prix (2018 MotoGP: Round 15) at Buriram Chang International Circuit In the evening, Gen Prayut will visit Sroew Ground walking street, a cultural street awarded for best community and environmental management On Tuesday, Gen Prayut will preside over the meeting on economic and social development of the Lower Northeastern provincial cluster I and the cabinet retreat at Buri Ram Rajabhat University. After that, he will observe the operation of Sanuan Nok Homestay Village, and Buri Ram Airport before returning to Bangkok. (TNA)
