PM will attend ASEAN Summit in the Philippines

BANGKOK, April 13 (TNA) -- The prime minister and the foreign affairs minister will attend the ASEAN Summit in the Philippines on April 28 and 29, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said. Ms Busadee Santipitak, the spokesperson who is also the director-general of the Information Department, said Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha and Foreign Minister Don Pramudwinai would participate in the 30th ASEAN Summit in Manila to discuss the progress of ASEAN, regional and global challenges, economic growth and regional empowerment. On the occasion, the prime minister would deliver his speech on Thailand’s roles in promoting cooperation, sufficiency economy philosophy, inclusive growth and development, and the reduction of inequality, she said.
