President Ahmadinejad Arrives In Accra

Accra, April 17, IRNA – President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, at the end of his 3-leg tour in Africa, arrived in Accra, capital city of Ghana, on Tuesday late afternoon.
Ahmadinejad was officially welcomed at the Kotoka International Airport by his Ghanaian counterpart John Dramani Mahama.
President Ahmadinejad is to attend a banquet by President of Ghana on Tuesday evening.
Meeting with Ghana Parliament Speaker Edward Doe Adjaho, signing agreements concerning mutual cooperation and releasing a joint statement, laying wreath on tomb of the first Ghanaian President Kwame Nkrumah and his wife, delivering a speech in Ghana Islamic University, meetings with tribal chiefs, and Iranians residing in Ghana are among the programmes of President Ahmadinejad.
Ghana is located in the west of Africa and its economy depends on agriculture.
Ghana exports cocoa, woods and gold.
Its area is over 228,000 aquare kilometers and its population is 22 million.
