President Aoun censures Istanbul attack, follows up condition of injured Lebanese with FM

NNA - President Michel Aoun sternly condemned in a cable to his Turkish counterpart on Sunday the terrorist attack that targeted a club in Istanbul during New Year's celebrations. "This condemnable act confirms the importance of cooperating and coordinating with all countries to face terrorism and address its root cause," Aoun said in his letter to President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. The President followed up closely since early morning the details of the attack and the condition of Lebanese nationals who were wounded during it. The Foreign Ministry detailed to Aoun all measures taken in coordination with Turkish officials to offer hospitalization and care for the Lebanese.
