President of Mongolia receives Vietnamese National Assembly Chairman

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Chairman of Vietnam’s National Assembly Mr Nguyen Sinh Hung was received by the leader of Mongolia Ts.Elbegdorj on November 22. Mr Sinh Hung stressed his gratitude and a positivity the current state visit will bring into the ties between our countries, and highly valued the official talks run and documents signed during this visit. The President Elbegdorj thanked the Vietnamese sides for the warm welcome and underlined that the two countries enjoy splendid relations foundation laid down by the earlier generations of the two countries’ famous leaders. Mongolia and Vietnam will be celebrating 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations the next year, he mentioned and expressed a confidence that his state visit will play historical significance in strengthening of the cooperation. Then he invited the National Assembly members to Mongolia with a visit, confident that this will intensify a collaboration between the two lawmaking institutions. Mongolia and Vietnam had supported each other during the historical hardships and are continuing to do so in frames of international organizations such as the United Nations and the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation, noted the President. He thanked the Vietnamese part for their persistent support and highlighted a need to further intensify the work of Mongolia and Vietnam’s inter-parliamentary groups. He also added that business representatives of Mongolia and Vietnam will hold a conference to exchange ideas of possible projects and possibilities to broaden the relations. In response, the Chairman of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam’s National Assembly Nguyen Sinh Hung appreciated the President's kind words and expressed a confidence that the two countries have a great potential to boost the relations and cooperation not only on high level, but also on local level. He fully supports the initiative of intensifying the inter-parliamentary groups, and would like to take this opportunity to greet the Chairman of the State Great Khural of Mongolia and to invite him to Vietnam and also have him participate in International Parliamentary Assembly in 2015, said Mr Hung. He also said that Vietnam wants to amend its Constitution, and that the Government needs to serve the citizens’ needs, therefore, many reforms will be made in the state and political parties' works, he stressed. The Chairman proposed to cooperate in pharmaceutical industry. Because of some difficulties, Mongolia and Vietnam are not able to use the opportunity to develop trades through railroad. Our countries need to overcome these difficulties and to pay an adequate attention to boosting of the trade and economic cooperation, highlighted Mr Nguyen Sinh Hung.
