President Rohani Attends Majlis For 3rd Day

Tehran, Aug 14, IRNA – President Hassan Rohani attended Parliament (Majlis) Wednesday morning on the third day of debate on qualification of his proposed ministers. During their morning session, the Iranian lawmakers examine competency of Ali Rabiei for the Ministry of Cooperatives, Labor and Social Welfare. On Tuesday, the MPs discussed qualification of six proposed ministers including Ali Najafi (nominated for Ministry of Education), Mahmoud Vaezi (for Ministry of Communications and Information Technology), Mohammad-Javad Zarif (for Ministry of Foreign Affairs) and Hassan Qazizadeh Hashemi (for Health Ministry). The debate on competency of the proposed ministers which started on Monday would continue until Wednesday by Iranian lawmakers in morning and afternoon sessions. President Rohani unveiled the list of his proposed cabinet members during his swearing-in ceremony on August 4./end
