President visits hippodrome and water park in North Korea

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Mongolia’s President Ts. Elbegdorj Thursday visited a hippodrome and swimming pool in Pyongyang, ending his state visit to N.Korea. The President was guided around the Mirim Riding Club, an equestrian sports center, where one can ride ponies as well as race horses, before going to the Munsu Water Park, one of the biggest construction projects in the country. The year-round water park, that was unveiled last October, covers some 190 thous. sq meters and has many amusement facilities including a swimming pool, sauna, badminton court and indoor sports hall, where that day a friendly match was held between women volleyball teams of both countries. During the visit, a memorandum to cooperate in culture, sports and tourism sectors was signed between the parts, with its above said first activities.
