President watches friendly football match of Mongolia-N.Korean children

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ With a state visit to the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK), the President of Mongolia Ts.Elbegdorj has watched a friendly match between junior footballers of the two countries. Held Wednesday on the Kim Il-sung Stadium with full of 50 thousand viewers, the President enjoyed the event together with Mr Kim Yong-nam, the Chairman of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly and a president of the DPRK Football Federation. The State Head congratulated and greeted them on the football pitch. It was the very first time event when a President of a foreign country steps on pitch of the Kim Il-sung stadium. The match took 50 minutes between fixed teams named “Peace” and “Freedom”. A winner became the last one by 2:1. After the match, the President received the North Korean Football Federation’s head and invited him to Mongolia, whereas the Mongolian Football Federation’s vice head A.Ganbaatar invited the North Korean footballers and coaches. The sides also discussed an issue of training Mongolian junior players in North Korean clubs and schools. The same day, the President Ts.Elbegdorj, his spouse Ms Kh.Bolormaa and accompanying them delegation laid wreaths to the Mausoleum of Revolutionists.
