Provincial governors told to follow national strategies

MAHA SARAKHAM, Thailand, July 15 (TNA) - Thai Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra has assigned provincial governors to follow national strategies tailored by the government. Yingluck handed out the assignment when she opened a seminar in Thailand's northeastern Maha Sarakham province on Monday, aimed to work out development plans for Maha Sarakham and Buri Ram province, also in the Thai Northeast. The national strategies suggested by the prime minister include promoting sustainable incomes for locals, solving social and economic inequality and improving the efficiency of government agencies.
