Reformists should reach a consensus ahead of presidential poll: Aref
TEHRAN,March 10(MNA) – Mohammad Reza Aref, who has been mentioned as a possible reformist candidate in Iran’s June presidential election, has said that the reformists should become united and reach a consensus ahead of the election.
“Over the past months, a movement was seeking to boycott the election, the same movement that prevented the reformists from actively participating in the Majlis election… But now, another scenario is being considered, which is the lack of consensus among the reformists. Under the current circumstances and given the country’s situation, the best approach is that the reformists” reach a consensus and effectively participate in the election, Aref told a gathering of students in Tehran on Saturday.
