Religious Leader Terms Change In Western Attitude Towards Iran, Positive
Islamabad, Oct 22, IRNA – Deputy Secretary General of Pakistan’s major Islamic Party on Monday said that change in western attitude towards Iran is a positive development to make nuclear talks successful.
Talking to IRNA Fareed Ahmed Paracha, of Jamat-e-Islami said that Iran is a peace loving country and always wants to solve issues with West through dialogue.
He said that Europe is interested in solving Iran’s nuclear issue but it is the US which is creating hurdles to make the dialogue successful.
He strongly believed that US doesn’t want to see a peaceful world otherwise their arms industry would be finished. He said that US must realize that their arrogance is posing a great threat to the world peace.
Paracha added that developing peaceful nuclear program is Iran’s inalienable right which no country can deny.
He described as very much positive the talks between Iran and the P5+1 in Geneva which ended on October 16 adding that dialogue is the only way to settle disputes.
At the end of the their two-day talks in Geneva on October 16, representatives of Iran and the sextet - the US, Britain, France, China and Russia plus Germany - agreed to continue their negotiations in early November.
Paracha said that western states have to lift sanctions from Iran because they are unjustified and in violation of all international laws.
The political leader said there should be no discrimination towards Iran regarding its peaceful nuclear program. He said that on the one hand the Zionist Regime has developed nuclear bomb but on the other Iran is not allowed to use nuclear technology for peaceful purposes.
He went on to say that so-called super powers cannot stop Iran from developing in the field of nuclear technology.
The JI leader expressing his views said phone call by US President Barack Obama to Iranian President Hassan Rohani is a positive development but Iranian leaders have to keep one thing in mind that US is not trust worthy./end
