Results of council elections to be announced by Tuesday

TEHRAN,June 17(MNA) – The results of the city council elections in Tehran will be announced by Tuesday, the head of the supervisory board for elections told the Mehr News Agency on Sunday. According to Mohammad Javad Koolivand, 1,700 people were vetted to vie for 31 council seats in the metropolis of Tehran on June 14. There are media reports that leading reformist and principlist candidates have emerged victorious in the council election in Tehran.
