Rouhani congratulates Nana Akufo-Addo on Ghana’s presidency

TEHRAN, Jan. 07 (MNA) – Iranian President Hassan Rouhani has lauded New Patriotic Party (NPP) Nana Akufo-Addo for being elected as the new president of the Republic of Ghana. In a message on Saturday, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani extended his most sincere felicitations to Nana Akufo-Addo over his election as president of Ghana, expressing hope that the friendly ties between Tehran and Accra would continue to flourish under Akufo-Addo’s presidency. President Rouhani further wished for prosperity and well-being of President Akufo-Addo and the Ghanaian nation. Ghana's new president, Nana Akuffo Addo, was sworn in on Saturday after beating incumbent leader John Dramani Mahama in elections last month.
