Russia and Indonesia have common approaches to issues on global agenda - Russian foreign ministry

MOSCOW, August 5. /TASS/. Russia and Indonesia have confirmed common approaches to pressing issues on international agenda after a meeting between foreign ministers Sergey Lavrov and Retno Marsudi, the Russian Foreign Ministry said on Wednesday. "It was noted that political dialogue has been stepped up, and good prospects were stressed for further expansion of trade and investment cooperation and in all spheres of bilateral relations between Russia and Indonesia," the foreign ministry said. "Close and common approaches of the two countries were confirmed on pressing issues on regional and international agenda. Both sides expressed mutual interest in deepening cooperation on multi-party platforms," the ministry added. The Russian foreign minister has already held meetings with his counterparts from Indonesia, North Korea and Turkey earlier today. He will participate in the Russia-ASEAN ministerial meeting and hold several more talks, including with US State Secretary John Kerry and Malaysian Foreign Minister Anifah Aman. Read more
