Russian Defence Minister pays respect to national leader Heydar Aliyev and Azerbaijani heroes

Baku, October 13 (AzerTAc). Defence Minister of the Russian Federation, General of the Army Sergei Shoigu has today visited the Alley of Honours to lay a wreath at the tomb of Azerbaijan`s national leader, founder and architect of modern Azerbaijani state Heydar Aliyev. He also put flowers at the grave of prominent ophthalmologist, academician Zarifa Aliyeva. The Defence Minister put flowers at the grave of People's Artist of Azerbaijan and the USSR, outstanding musician Muslim Magomayev. He also visited the Alley of Martyrs to commemorate Azerbaijani heroes who gave their lives for the country`s independence and territorial integrity. Sergei Shoigu laid a wreath at the Eternal Flame monument.
