Russian Envoy Underlines Iran’s Role In Resolving Syrian Crisis

New York, June 27, IRNA – Russian Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations Vitaly Churkin said Moscow believes that Iran and other neighboring countries of Syria can play a role in solving current Syrian crisis. After UN Security Council meeting on Syria, which was held behind closed doors, on Tuesday, Churkin said all capacities of all related countries to Syria must be used to solve this conflict. Concerning rumors about transferring political power in Syria, Churkin said Kremlin will only support Syrian people vote and Moscow believes any kind of regime change in Syria should be upon Syrian nation vote.
