TEHRAN, Nov. 08 (MNA) – South Korean FM Yun Byung-se in a Sat. meeting with President Rouhani said his country’s businesses will be flooding into Iranian market in the near future. Visiting South Korean Foreign Minister, Yun Byung-se, made the remarks in a meeting with President Hassan Rouhani in Tehran on Saturday, adding “South Korea’s major companies are looking forward to the sanctions relief in order to extend and strengthen their presence in Iran’s market.” Stressing that Seoul is keen on developing economic cooperation with Tehran, Yun expressed confidence that the many visits between Iranian and Korean officials in the upcoming months will bolster and facilitate the presence of Korean economic activists and businesses in Iranian market. He added that the two countries’ cultural commonalities and fifty years of historical ties will pave the way for boosting mutual interactions in economic and political spheres. The South Korean diplomat further deemed the successful nuclear negotiations a suitable model for settling regional conflicts, adding “there are a lot of political issues in East Asia which the involved countries are trying to resolve through negotiations. I am confident that the conclusion of Iran’s nuclear talks will have an effective role in spreading peace in the region.” Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, for his part, noted the cordial and growing relations between the two countries, adding “Tehran and Seoul should make use of the current condition to achieve progress in all fields such as economic, cultural and political arenas.” President Rouhani expressed hope that South Korean businesses would endeavor to have a more active participation in Iran’s market and further expand their cooperation with Iran, especially in the private sector. The Iranian senior official also added that Iran and South Korea should enhance their cooperation to promote peace and stability in the Middle East and in East Asia. The South Korean foreign minister arrived in Tehran on Saturday for the first official visit in 14 years.
