Salehi: Enemies Seek To Divide Nations To Divert Their Awakening Movement

Tehran, July 16, IRNA - Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi said on Sunday that the enemies try to cause disputes among nations to divert their awaking movements which have targeted their illogical interests. Salehi made the remarks in a meeting with a group of Lebanese Ulema in Tehran on Sunday. In the meeting, Salehi underlined the significant role Muslim Ulema play in foiling the plots of the enemies and urged all Muslims to strengthen their unity and solidarity to this effect. Referring to regional developments and waves of Islamic awaking in Islamic states, he said such governments which take their power from the will of nations could confront the enemies of Islam mainly the Zionist regime. Referring to sensitive situation in the region and the efforts by the enemies to sow seeds of discord among Islamic schools of thought in order to divert Islamic awakening movements in the region, he said Muslim nations (Sunnis and Shiites) have always lived together in peace./end
